Which is, okay, MOST of them, but honestly, I was just tickled that Ex Machina and The Martian feature so heavily. For the first time ever, I’ve watched most of the films nominated but am trying to get up the courage to watch The Revenant. It looks so BRUTAL and I have never been convinced that Leonardo DiCaprio is a thing. You know who is a thing, though?
So there’s that. It’s also pretty much a lock for Best Picture and Best Director, so maybe I’ll suck it up, cuddle up with some cocoa and watch Leo desecrate my Canadian wilderness. It’s ALL MINE, I totes called it, so THERE! What are your predictions?
Big snubs for Quentin….he’s not gonna be happy….
You know ol footie – just grist for his mill. Hard to believe it’s only been 8 movies he’s made
Yeah! Mr Mae and I said that last night…he’s got a decent amount but less than I thought…then we got into it over which is his best….ugh…#rabbithole
Ohhh no Aaron Sorkin for Best Screenplay!! BURRRRNNNNN! I hate him…
You know they had to give Steve Jobs SOMETHING, and that supporting actress nod was part of that pound of flesh
Oh fo real!
I’d love to see Nick Hornby win for Brooklyn
I think I like Nick Hornby more in theory than I do in practice
And thank god for Tom Hardy
He may have gotten screwed over for Mad Max, but I’ll take the one nod!
leo best actor
brie larson best actress
alicia vikander best supporting
sly best supporting
lady gaga has already bought her oscar
Lady Gaga isn’t up for an Oscar, is she?? Just the Golden Globe?? Tell me that isn’t happening
Best song with Diane Warren
Oh shite yes I saw that. My bad. I think she has musical talent, I just hate everything else
Diane Warren has never won so it’s seems likely that they’ll win
Are you…messing with me? Dianne Warren is super well known, I’m surprised she hasn’t won yet
Lotsa noms but no wins
